This detailed account of the massacre of an estimated 7,000 Muslim men in July 1995, at the Bosnian 'safe enclave' of Srebrenica, relies not only on eye witness testimony, but on some astonishing telltale footage. Video recordings from a variety of sources, including a British reporter, the Dutch army and even Serb camera crews, are offset against each other to form a lacerating record. The testimonies of those who are dealing with survival take the film to a place of personal horror most of us will struggle to recognise.
