Time Out says

3 out of 5 stars

Two liquor-prone gal pals—divorced, insecure Katrin (Friedrich) and promiscuous, thong-wearing Nike (Uhl)—share a Berlin apartment in this totally inoffensive, perfectly nice evening at the cinema, perhaps better suited to the modest dimensions of a TV screen. The two main characters (and their less-than-perfect menfolk) are realistically rendered; some might find these post-Unification economic tensions eye-opening. But for a film set during a sweltering season, precious little dramatic heat is brought to bear. (Opens Fri; Landmark Sunshine.) — Joshua Rothkopf
