The Magician

Time Out says
With his shaved head, Green Goblin grin and opinions on everything from drug laws to Hollywood homosexuals, Australian hit man Ray Shoesmith (Ryan) makes for a fiendish movie star even when he's whacking wiseguys---all of which his neighbor (Andrighetto) records on video. Less a crime thriller than a meandering, let-the-camera-roll exercise, writer-director-star Ryan's slender mockumentary reaches for a rhythm of lived experience, but gets bogged down in improvisatory indulgence. There are fleeting moments of discomfiting humor, but when conversation descends into a prolonged, sub-Tarantino disquisition on fecal consumption, The Magician can't disappear fast enough.
