Thunderstruck

Sydney, 1991 and five optimistic young AC/DC fans (is there any other kind?) pledge that should one of them die, the others will bury him next to the grave of original DC singer Bon Scott in Fremantle. And so, 12 years later when women and responsibility have taken their toll, it comes to pass: ashes are stolen, jobs are jacked, a van is acquired. Part coming-of-age buddy road movie, part goofball comedy, this likeable flick doesn’t have quite enough gas to pull off the funny/emotional double act, but, with good performances all round, is plenty amiable, so long as you don’t get too irritated at the 'boys will be boys' immaturity of the characters and have a healthy appreciation for the sound of the mighty AC/DC in their pomp.
