Fellini’s movies often feel like nightmares, so it makes sense that he would eventually get around to creating a real horror film: this 1968 Poe-based short, originally from the omnibus film Spirits of the Dead. Recently restored, the piece boasts some of the maestro’s coolest color compositions, as well as an unhinged Terence Stamp (Zod!) as a foolhardy English movie star.
