Time Out says
Turkey shite, more like, a tuppeny ha'penny rehash of The Most Dangerous Game. It's 1995, world peace at last, although it takes global totalitarianism to enforce. Dissidents are sent to what looks like Camp on Blood Island, only cheaper. As well as being beaten by bullies with whips, they have to wear canary jumpsuits. New arrivals Railsback and Hussey are among those chosen for the sport of CO Thatcher (Craig) and his decadent chums. Five unarmed kids, one jungle, half-a-dozen armed pursuers with transport. So who wins? The film had some 'shock horror' press over its violence. But ghouls won't be satisfied with scenes like one where a nasty gets his hands lopped and advances on the audience with bloody stumps that are the same cuff-over-the-knuckles trick most of us learned before junior school. If it was that funny even a quarter of the time, it wouldn't be so bad. Despite a heap of 'action', the pic's about as lively as a snail full of downers.
