Time Out says

Irritating poshos spend the night in a haunted public school in this forgettable slice of low-rent British horror

Posh kids getting haunted by dead posh kids is what you get in TV director Russell England’s ropey horror movie set in an old public school. The rickety special effects are dealt with fairly well, with plenty of eerie suggestion and the odd fleeting, ghostly  glimpse providing a few effective jumps. It’s a pity then, that the plot is so flimsy.

It’s the last day of term and six cadets (three girls, three boys) are given an end-of-term mission to patrol the school overnight. The teens get spooked, drunk, jiggy with it, spooked again and then, when a real-life working-class crim with a chip on his shoulder is stumbled upon, their night goes really wrong.

The devil worship stuff is silly rather than scary, and the special effects lose their power in the finale. The mild ending is a disappointment too – mainly because by that point you’ll be desperate for havoc to be wreaked upon these obnoxious Oxbridge wannabes.
