Time Out says

This tepid indie about precocious teenage assassins (Alexis Bledel and Saoirse Ronan) trying to kill a sad-sack target with a death wish (James Gandolfini) deserves some kind of Bizarro World Robert Altman Independent Spirit Award for the Best Ensemble in the Least Interesting Movie: the aforementioned trio, Danny Trejo, Gandolfini’s Sopranos’ costar John Ventimiglia and, best of all, Marianne Jean-Baptiste oozing menace in a too-brief role. All those wonderful actors still can’t save this mess of clichés and quips from Precious screenwriter Geoffrey Fletcher, who drowns his directorial debut in the sort of quirky yak-yak-yak conversations seemingly required of modern movies about hit men. My kingdom for a strong, silent type.
