Warlords of Atlantis

Time Out says

Although the title promises something new, this is a rehash of exactly the same old fantasy formula used by Connor and producer John Dark in The Land That Time Forgot, At the Earth's Core and The People That Time Forgot: the discovery of a lost community, the imprisonment of one of the party, a rescue attempt, and final escape from the lost world as it's about to be destroyed. The structure has so little to commend it that it's amazing they pursue it with such dogged persistence. As always, Connor's approach is commendably stolid, but this production lacks almost all the more pleasing elements of the earlier movies, and is sickeningly vulgar in its portrayal of Atlantis, right down to the leering emphasis on Cyd Charisse's legs.
