Fargo, November 2000: Gerald and Linda Polley prepare for another evening in the snowy trailer park, channelling the spirit of John Lennon, eating discount potato chips and emailing the media to warn them that Jesus has left the kingdom of Heaven and won't come back as long as there's a Democrat in the White House. Snow's po-faced film establishes within two minutes that the Polleys are a pair of religious wackos, and then spends another 47 minutes hammering home the point. Humourless, cruel and rather pathetic.
