If you’re someone whose playlist shuffles from Tu Hi Re to Jhoka Hawa Ka, here’s a concert you’ll like to bookmark. Padma Shri award-winning singer Hariharan is bringing his Soul India show to Mumbai on August 22, a live performance celebrating music that made the singer one of India’s beloved voices.

Whether you grew up listening to the velvety songs on cassettes or discovered them through the music channels on TV or streaming platforms, the setlist is for the generations of listeners.

How to get the tickets and reach?

The closest railway stations to the venue are Matunga from the Central Line, Kings Circle from the Harbour Line, and Matunga Road from the Western Line. You can take a taxi from the respective station to the venue.

A voice with a legacy

With a career spanning over four decades, Hariharan moved between genres – Carnatic, ghazals, devotional, playback songs and Indian folk-fusion – across several languages – Tamil, Hindi, Bengali, Odia, Marathi, etc – and very few artists can claim that talent.

The vocalist has consistently blurred musical boundaries while maintaining emotion at the heart of every performance. Additionally, his collaborations with composers like AR Rahman and his union with Lezz Lewis as the Colonial Cousins duo became a part of India’s collective musical memory.

When: Saturday, August 22, 7:30pm
