Want to feel like you’re in outer space on your next vacay? This spectacular Airbnb in the Scottish Highlands could do the job. The aluminium pod is flanked by huge dragonfly windows, and has epic views out over the Isle of Mull. When night falls and you gaze up at the stars above, it almost feels as if you’re on a different planet.

Inside, you’ll find an industrial-style kitchen, comprising a metal island, wooden cupboards and dining table. There’s also a wood-burning stove, and a cool, chrome living area that looks straight out of a sci-fi movie. The bedroom area is cosily tucked away at the back of the pod. Best of all is the deck area, which makes the ideal setting for a spot of stargazing under a tartan blanket or three.

The Airbnb is in the village of Bonnavoulin on the Morvern Peninsula in the Highlands: a very beautiful (and very remote) corner of the world. Rates start at £160 a night, with a three-night minimum stay.

You can find out more about the property on the official Airbnb listing. And if there’s no availability? We’ve found plenty of other incredible Airbnbs in the Scottish Highlands, from a sixteenth-century castle to the ultimate glamping experience.
