"Biking Works" Bike To Work Day In Winter Park

Join us for Biking Works, the first official Bike to Work Day in Winter Park. All are encouraged to ride to work (or school) by bicycle for fitness and fun. Encourage your employer to field a team and ride together if possible. There will be recognition for all companies that are represented who support their cyclists! Celebrate Cycling – Fun Group Ride At 4:00 pm there will be a short (approx. 45 minutes) group ride through the city. Meet at 3:30 pm in North Central Park near Garfield Avenue (the route will be posted online soon – check back for details). At 5:00 pm join the group for a Healthy, Happy Hour! Participating Park Avenue restaurants and merchants will be offering discounts for cyclists. 4:30 – 8:00 p.m. Bike Valet – Secure Bike storage will be available for this entire time (eyes on your bikes – so they are safe and secure!) Free t-shirts for the first 100 participants. Please pre-register at healthycentralflorida.org/?p=1578. Please pick up your shirt in advance and be visible as you cycle to work – to promote cycling city-wide. You must register in advance to get your free shirt – and register early, as only the first 100 are guaranteed the first official event shirt.
