Orlando Science Center says
[Open from December 12 through January 10, 2016!]

If you can think it, you can make it.

The Idea Factory is a makerspace that will feature fun and hands-on experiences designed to get the whole family thinking, making and doing!

Separated into 3 unique idea spaces, in each area of The Idea Factory you will find simple found materials that act as the perfect blank slate for your creativity. All that’s missing is your imagination!

CHAIN REACTIONS
At our Chain Reaction wall everyday materials will be built into our giant peg wall to create marble run tracks!

Enhance your learning experience by asking critical thinking questions:
• What can you use to make your track piece make a noise?
• Have an anti-race. Can you design a track so your ball reaches the bottom the slowest?
• Can you get your ball to jump the track?

CARDBOARD CONSTRUCTION
At our Cardboard Construction area, let your imagination run wild! Build a tower, a robot as tall as yourself, or even a whole city out of cardboard!

It’s a bird, it’s a plane, it’s whatever you can imagine!

COLORED SHADOWS
When you visit Colored Shadows you will make shadow puppets and other props and then test the colorful shadows they can cast against our wall of light!

Find out what happens to your shadow as you approach the wall, try to make something that reveals multiple colored shadows at once and discover how many different colored shadows you can make!
