A comfy, unpretentious café with vintage decor near Osaka-Tenmangu Station, Tokiona opens at 7am and offers a delightful range of affordable breakfast options. In the morning, all drink orders (from ¥550) can be upgraded to a ‘morning set’ for a mere couple hundred yen. Our favourite is the butter toast set (drink order plus ¥300), in which a thick slab of said toast comes served with a boiled egg, salad, and a small portion of ketchup-flavoured spaghetti. Noteworthy alternatives include honey lemon toast (drink + ¥600) and the ubiquitous pizza toast (drink + ¥650).
