This confectionery shop near Kozu Station on the Keihan Katano line is known for its signature Amielle – chantilly cream sandwiched between two round pieces of sponge cake. Other favourites are the Sake Kasu Madeleines made with sake lees from the local Yamano Sake Brewery, and the Kisaichi Honey Roll, which contains acacia honey produced in the nearby Ibaraki Apiary. The resident pastry chef can prepare a traditional French Galette des Rois upon request, but note that you’ll have to order this beautiful cake at least three days in advance.
