The weather can’t seem to make up it’s mind lately, but one thing is pretty certain: It’s most going to get—and stay—cooler for a while and you need some gear to keep you toasty through next spring.

Students at Temple can get a leg up on their seasonal shopping next week when L.L. Bean rolls onto campus in a giant boot for a pop-up shop and a host of customer booths like a lace station and a spot offering 30-minute crash courses on how to read a map and compass. (A recent National Geographic study found that one-third of young Americans don’t know how to use either.)

In the pop-up shop trailer, students can score 10-percent-off discounts on all fall 2017 merch, including boots, pom hats, fleece sweaters and slippers. The lace station will be set up nearby so you can pimp out your new boots with a selection of colorful laces. Maybe a maroon and white to show off Temple Owl pride?

There are also activities and giveaways planned throughout the day, including one contest to win a $300 gift card or a trip to chilly Maine to really put your new winter gear to the test. The pop-up shop is going down at Temple’s Ritter Quad Monday and Tuesday, October 15 and 16 from 9am to 5pm. Of course, you don’t have to go to Temple to get the discounts, and you don’t have to be a student to shop there. The pop-up is open all day for anyone who wants to stop by.
