Truth Be Told Productions will be holding non-union auditions for its June 2015 production of the "bare: a pop opera - IN CONCERT"

AUDITIONS: Sunday, March 22nd at 6pm & Monday, March 23rd at 7pm. (Callbacks are March 26th at 7pm as necessary)

AUDITIONS WILL BE BY APPOINTMENT ONLY. Strong actors and singers of all ethnicities are encouraged to submit.
*Not all actors who submit will be granted an audition* Please bring a hard copy of your headshot and resume to the audition.

PERFORMANCES: June 5th, 6th, 7th, 11th, 12th and 13th - the performances will be lightly staged and choreographed in Philadelphia

REHEARSALS: To begin on or before April 19th with consideration given for the Memorial Day holiday. Rehearsals will likely be held on Sunday, Tuesday and Thursday evenings (based on and depending on actor/production staff availability).

PREPARE: 32 measures in the style of the show (songs from "bare: a pop opera" will be allowed). Bring sheet music in the correct key. Accompanist will be provided. NO A CAPELLA AUDITIONS. Please come prepared to move. You may be asked to learn a simple combination and may be asked to stay to read a side.

CHARACTER BREAKDOWN
Peter - introspective, Jason's clandestine boyfriend
Jason - handsome golden child of St. Cecilia's senior class
Ivy - pretty, popular, insecure
Nadia - Jason's pudgy, sardonic twin sister
Matt - studious, pious, Jason's academic rival
Sister Chantelle - African-American nun, wise, no-nonsense
Priest - St. Cecilia's headmaster
Claire - Peter's mother
Lucas - The school's fun-loving purveyor of altered reality
Tanya - Lucas's girlfriend
Diane - student, very naive
Alan - student, nerdy
Zack - student, jock type
Kyra - student, sexy
Rory - student, sarcastic
Additional students possible depending on voicing in ensemble

*All roles are open and the Director intends to cast all roles age-appropriately. There will be up to six singers cast for the ensemble in addition to those listed above.

*A minimal stipend will be paid to actors in this production. Housing is not available.
