Time Out says

Duo Maelan is a performance partnership by Nick Milan and Caty Mae. Nick Milan started his acrobatics training as a Tandem Surfer in Honolulu, Hi. He soon joined the Waikiki Acrobatic Troupe where he found his pas- sion for performance and partner acrobatics. When he relocated to Austin, he became the stunt choreographer for Crash Alchemy and is now a recognized porter and Hand to Hand instructor in the Texas acrobatic community. Nick specializes in bridging the gap between acro yoga and standing acrobatics. Caty Mae has been involved in circus arts for over seven years. After cir- cus school in Los Angeles, she spent three years on tour with the three ring show, George Carden Circus, International. Caty Mae is the winner of the 2013 MTPS Lyra Division, is a brand ambassador and educator for Spin City Aerial Fitness Instructor Training, and is a finalist in the U.S. Aerial Championships 2015. She has also been a featured judge in several aerial competitions and a performance director for Four Element's Aerial and Creative Fitness. Caty and Nick met while performing with Crash Alchemy at SXSW. It wasn't long before they began to fuse their acrobatic and aerial worlds. Since then, they have toured the United States together performing duo ground and aerial acts and instructing their signature workshops. They have been recently featured in the Las Vegas based production of Gladius the Show. They have showcased their talents with major companies such as Moun- tain Dew, The Lagunitas Brewing Company, Silk, Hendrick's Gin, Formula One and the Sundance Channel. Duo Maelan also uses their talents to help the community as they have performed to assist the Austin Children's Shelter and have volunteered as instructors with nonprofit organization, Circus of Hope. Their combined talents and unique training backgrounds have led them to breath life into original works of circus artistry. Duo Maelan hopes to in- spire their students to realize their limitless potential and follow their dreams; even when the dream is as crazy as running away and joining the circus.
