Don't miss out on the biggest family friendly Mardi Gras 2015 celebration in Philly! With 10,000 active Mummers, Philadelphia will be the place to be for Mardi Gras 2015. Attendees will be treated to numerous performances from some of the most prominent string bands parading down Main Street Manayunk. This winter spectacular event will allow families to enjoy all the pageantry of the Mummers in the quaint neighborhood setting of Manayunk. The daylong celebration will not only provide excitement for Manayunk but will contribute exposure and raise money for one of the greatest traditions in Philadelphia, the Mummers! The date is set for Sunday, February 22nd. For things to do in Manayunk, look for interactive children's activities, giveaways, awards, photo opportunities, discounted items at participating stores and restaurants. There are a plethora of activities and surprises to make this a wonderful Sunday celebration for friends and families that wish to delight their children in Mummers fun. Event Details: WHAT: Philadelphia Mummers Mardi Gras Parade in Manayunk WHEN: Sunday, February 22, 2015 *RAIN DATE: Saturday February 28, 2015 10am-Noon: Philadelphia Mummers Mardi Gras Parade in Manayunk. Watch as Mummers String Bands strut down Main Street from Shurs to Green Lane. Noon-2pm: String Band performances in select retail and restaurant establishments until 2pm. 2pm-4pm: Restaurants and retailers host different string bands as their "clubhouse" for the day.
