It’s a lovely spring weekend in the English countryside. Judith Bliss, a retired West End actress, her husband David, a writer, and their two college-age children live in a ramshackle house, pursuing their own interests and inclinations. Unfortunately, they have also each invited a guest for the weekend without letting anyone else know – when these guests arrive, expecting a typical English houseparty, they get a lot more (and a lot less) than they bargained for. Noel Coward’s “Hay Fever” is a sophisticated, witty, and frothy comedy that will delight everyone in the audience.
If you’ve been to any of our previous readings, you know that what we lack in professionalism we make up for in enthusiasm and fun!
