Time Out says

Friday, March 6th • Doors 8pm, Show 9pm • $10 Franky Bradley's @ Juniper & Chancellor WEIRD HOT Weird Hot, an art-pop group from Philadelphia, presented their new self-titled album in December. The funk noir six-piece has also released a new video for their single, "I Was At A Party." The band's sound incorporates disco, gothic punk, new romanticism, progressive rock, R&B, and many other styles to support it's narrative of street poetry and melancholy lyricism. The music is made to make you move, but the content, nonetheless, is thought provoking and heartfelt. http://www.weirdhot.net/ DARLA Darla's sound is forever evolving in the incubator that is the band's strange but elusive musical mind. With heavy influences from bands such as Vulfpeck and Snarky Puppy, Darla's style can be described as funky fusion competing with the boldness of hard rock. The lyrical horn-driven melodies coincide uniquely with the jarring, but methodical nature of the rhythm section. Each musician adds his own necessary flavor to the mix. http://darlaphilly.bandcamp.com/ DJ CB spinning you right round before, after and in between, songs that are sweet, songs that are mean. Chick Rock, 80's, Funky Jawns, etc..
