21+ Night: H2 Oh!

Advertising

Time Out says

Join us as we celebrate our newest permanent exhibit, H2Oh!: Why Our Rivers Matter. Splash around in a water table, step into the spotlight with the WTAE weather station, see live animals native to this region, and explore the three rivers' temperature, pH, and water levels in real time. Experience kinetic water-driven motion and discover the relations between water, land, and habitat. Learn about fluid dynamics and our rivers. Activities during 21+ Night will focus on water in various ways: >Make Gyotaku, a method of ink blot fish prints used by Japanese anglers long before the invention of cameras. >Take a taste test to see if you can tell the difference between bottled water, tap water, and filtered water. >While exploring surface tension, test how many drops of water you can place on a penny before it spills over. >Play the water glasses. >Explore a liquid other than water – liquid nitrogen! – in the Works Theater show, "Freeze!" Enjoy the best thing to come from water – beer – at one of our cash bars. Local group "Gum Band" will perform in the Robot Lounge. As always, 21+ Night features cash bars and snacks available for purchase. Cost is just $10 for tickets purchased by noon the day of the event, or $15 if purchased at the door.
