After graduating from Berklee College of Music, Sam continued his professional training at New York University where he earned a master's degree in vocal performance. After spending years in the Big Apple, Sam returned to his hometown of Pittsburgh to build a name for himself. He is best known for his smooth vocals on classic jazz standards.
Sam has a self-titled EP out featuring a unique take on timeless jazz standards, which encompass a variety of styles. You can certainly hear jazz and swing on the EP harkening back to the days of Sinatra, but Sam also explores different sounds from fusion, funk, and even R&B.
Recently Sam has been broadening his horizons, expanding his vocal and musical range beyond the American Songbook repertoire. With this fresh new outlook, Sam makes his return to the Club Cafe stage for a live album recording. Come experience the vision of Sam's new live album, which will include jazz standards like you have never heard them before with brand new arrangements, as well as hip, new crossover tunes, showcasing Sam's vocals.
