Oregon Nikkei Endowment is proud to celebrate the 25th Anniversary of its Japanese American Historical Plaza and Bill of Rights Memorial.

A free and open to the public event will be held at the Plaza at the north end of the Portland’s Tom McCall Waterfront Park (NW Naito Parkway at Couch Street) on Sunday, August 2, from 4:00 to 5:00 p.m. The special keynote speaker is renowned actor and activist George Takei. Music will be provided by the Minidoka Swing Band.

Following the event will be a celebratory cruise on the Portland Spirit. Boarding will begin at 5:30 and a dinner cruise will take place from 6-8:30 pm. Tickets are $100 for general public, $85 for Friends of O.N.E., and $50.00 for 12 and under. George Takei will be the special guest for this evening out on the Willamette River. Music will be provided by Thomas Lauderdale of Pink Martini.
