Curtis Young has made his presence felt this year more than any other year before it.. proving he is on his destined path of claiming his place in the world of Hip-Hop and the Entertainment Industry. Originally given the last name McLemore at birth, Curtis was born in Paramount, California before moving multiple times with his mother and two brothers to the hardened streets of Compton and several surrounding cities. This path took an unexpected turn when his Stepfather revealed to him at the age of 12 that his Biological Father is Legendary Hip-Hop Producer and Business Mogul Andre “Dr. Dre” Young. Young grew up playing football through high school until his scholarship offer was withdrawn as a result of a high school altercation that occurred during the LA riots. This would be the turning point in Young‘s life, which ignited ambitions to pursue his passion to continue his father’s legacy and make a positive impact in Hip-Hop Music. When Curtis was given the new information of who he truly was born to be, he felt his life now had a void that needed to be filled, while gaining a new insight into his rightfully born place in the world of Hip-Hop, as the Firstborn Son of Dr. Dre. Curtis felt compelled to meet his father when his mother and stepfather separated at the age of 15… but it wasn’t until the age of 20 that he was able to meet him for the very first time. After finally contacting his father’s attorney, Curtis and Dre took a DNA test which came back with a test result of 99.9% positive that Curtis is the son of Andre Romelle Young. Curtis would legally change his last name to “Young” several years later in 2008. While grateful and honored to be the son of Dr. Dre, Curtis is also intending to make a name for himself in his own right, while continuing in the tradition of Hip-Hop’s Greatest Legacy. “I am extremely grateful for my father paving the road for myself and other artists and feel privileged to have the opportunity to continue the YoungLegacy”. The Young Mogul has been chosen to portray his father in the upcoming “Dogg Pound 4 Life” movie, while also starring as an original cast member in Bunim / Murray’s upcoming “Seeds Of Hip-Hop”. Curtis has also formed his own Entertainment Company, “Forever Young Entertainment” and will be releasing his album “Product Of My DNA” on his Birthday, December 15th, 2015. Ironically, Dr. Dre released his first solo album, the classic “The Chronic” on December 15th, 1992. “In the future, my company Forever Young Entertainment LLC will set high standards for the industry and create another element for the Hip-Hop world”. A new era of music full of purpose and passion that will leave a legacy for generations to come..
