ABOUT THE BOOK: "Fashionably Late: Gay, Bi, and Trans Men Who Came Out Later in Life" is a collection of stories by men who came out well into adulthood. It covers topics ranging from divorce, conversion therapy, dating as a newly out man, finding community, experiencing biphobia, and transitioning during middle age. The collection was curated by Vinnie Kinsella, a Portland-based book publishing professional who himself came out as gay at thirty-four.

ABOUT THE VENUE: The Adrianna Hill Grand Ballroom is where Portland’s first pride celebration took place in 1971 (two years after the Stonewall riots). It was also the home of Mildred’s Palace, one of Portland’s early underground gay youth discos.

ABOUT BRIDGING VOICES: The Mission of Bridging Voices is to create a safe, welcoming and accessible place for queer, straight, and questioning youth to experience empowerment and unity through music. Bridging Voices reaches out to queer youth and their families, provides education on queer issues to the greater Portland area, and uplifts the LGBTQ community in Portland and the world.
