Week Two is the 2014 Pinot Noir, Willamette Valley

This light-bodied, jewel-toned Pinot begins with a nose of raspberry, spice, and smoke. Strawberry jam and cherry flavors round out the palate, with subtle cedar notes providing structure

The 2014 Pinot Noir is an excellent match for cedar plank salmon, coq au vin, and lentil dishes.

One of the most temperamental grapes to grow, Pinot Noir requires a long, cool growing season to get fully mature. Few places in the world have the conditions necessary and Oregon’s Willamette Valley is considered to be one of the best, along with Burgundy.
