Portland: Say No To Salmon Killing Dams And Yes To Orca

National Wildlife Federation Action Fund says
Orca in Puget Sound are on the verge of dying out, and the overall population is at an alarmingly low level. The main cause—not enough wild salmon, the orcas’ main prey.

The federal government is holding a series of meetings about managing dams in the region, including four dams in the lower Snake River that have severely damaged salmon populations. Removing these dams is the key to restoring wild salmon and saving endangered orcas.
