Right 2 Survive was founded in 2009 as a direct action group that educates both houseless and housed people on their civil, human, and constitutional rights. Organizers also established Right 2 Dream Too (R2DToo) five years ago to provide a safe space for Portland's houseless to rest.

Join us this evening for an inside perspective of the struggles of the houseless community and a showcase a series of short films documenting Right 2 Survive's origins, direct actions, and its annual Pitch-a-Tent campout, which protests the City's hypocrisy when it comes to allowing sidewalk camping for the Rose Parade.

Board Members Ibrahim Mubarak, Lisa Fay, Chico Callman, and Alisa Christensen will also speak to the organization's victories in fighting the City and the Pearl Development District and detail what the organization needs to continue providing critical support to the houseless and to make R2DToo's move to their new location at SE 3rd and Harrison a success.
