PDX Magazine says
Your favorite underground (literally) arts/literary salon is back!

This month we’re celebrating artist Karen Wippich, whose exhibit “Aesthetic Dysfunction” opens earlier in the evening upstairs in the Ford Gallery (6-10 pm):

Wander downstairs after the opening to hang out with Portland’s most interesting people, including Karen and her husband Jon Wippich who also has works in the Ford Gallery show.

Also, writer Mike J Allen is back as a special guest at the salon. On his last visit, Mike shared harrowing stories of urban safaris and recipes for cooking his primary quarry: Portland’s ferocious squirrels.

On Saturday night, Mike will take the stage, re-emerging from a deep-undercover special assignment, to report on High Desert Bernie Bros.

If you’re new to the drill, we're in the basement of the Ford Building, 2505 SE 11th Ave.

Enter through the back doors by the loading dock off of 11th Ave. Make your way downstairs. Follow the noise.

We're trying to get those back doors left unlocked a little later than normal. Otherwise, someone will be posted there to let you in.

If you get locked out of the building or can't find us, text or call

Ross at 503-449-3305,
Guy at 503-381-5478, or
Jef at 503-990-3324.

Someone will run up and let you in or give you directions.

As usual for the Salon events, please feel free to bring your own refreshments. We have coolers to keep drinks cold. If you show up empty-handed (that happens) we'll take care of you.
