Split Toe Moccasins Workshop 1 Of 2

Please join us for a two part workshop to make traditional Anishinaabe split toe moccasins guided by Biksakone Greg Johnson (http://biskakone.com/about/).
In the first workshop on Sunday, March 15 at 1:00pm at the Native American Youth and Family Center, we will measure and cut the tongues, cuffs, and other pieces for your moccasins.
Between workshops, you will take your moccasins home and do your own beadwork. If you need help with beading, just ask!
In the second workshop on Sunday, May 17 at 1:00pm at the Native American Youth and Family Center, we will put our moccasins together.
Materials provided:
scissors
thread
sinew
leather needles
pens/pencils
Materials you need to provide or split with other people:
tanned hide
velvet
beads
beading needles
