Summer Arts On Main: The Beat Goes On Marching Band says
As part of Summer Arts on Main Street, Portland’5 Centers for the Arts volunteers present the Noontime Showcase concerts every Wednesday in July and August. The free series continues on August 24, 2016 at 12 PM with The Beat Goes On. The performance will be held in downtown Portland on Main Street, between southwest Broadway & Park Ave., next to Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall.

The Beat Goes On is an all-adult marching band committed to delighting Northwest and National audiences while reliving the best parts of the marching band experience. The band is known for its feel-good attitude, emphasis on audience interaction, and spontaneity on the street and on stage. Though our musical tastes are eclectic, TBGO features a high-energy, brassy, rock and roll style — we may be a marching band, but we're more likely to play Lady Gaga than John Phillip Sousa! Band members hail primarily from the Pacific Northwest but come from as far away as Ohio, Florida, Arizona, and California for special events. If you are over the age of 18 and play (or used to play) a band instrument ... Come Out and Play With Us! http://thebeatgoesonmb.org/

All Noontime Showcase concerts are FREE and open to the public. Concerts are held in downtown Portland on Southwest Main Street, between Broadway & Park Ave., next to Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Each concert begins at 12 PM. and ends at 1 PM. Tickets are not required for entry.
