The District Attorney is the most powerful official in the criminal justice system. DAs exercise almost boundless discretion in making decisions about life and liberty, and yet being an elected position, they are almost unknown to the general public. Oregon has 36 District Attorneys, who often run unopposed in elections and serve multiple terms. Do you know your DA?

David Rogers of the ACLU of Oregon and Bobbin Singh of the Oregon Justice Resource Center will discuss why we must pay greater attention to our district attorneys and that by doing so, it will result in advancing meaningful criminal justice reform in our state.
