The University of Oregon 2016 UO Art MFA Thesis Exhibition presents the culminating work of eight master of fine arts graduate students. In the exhibition’s catalog essay, Alexandra Mickle, graduate student in the UO Department of the History of Art and Architecture, says, “In this exhibition eight artists reveal and question truths, both singular and universal, by exploring ways of being that go beyond the conventional. The exhibited installations are grounded in the gallery space but speak more broadly to questions of larger dialogues. Embracing many mediums and forms, the works in this exhibit present iterations, fragmentations, and clarifications of reality, encouraging a reevaluation of things as they are, or as they appear to be.”

Exhibition catalogs will be available at the opening reception.
