Gage Academy of Art says
Curated by Julia Ricketts, Teaching Artist, Gage Academy of Art
Opening: June 11, 2016 during the Ballard Art Walk 6 to 9 p.m.

To celebrate 10 years teaching at the Gage Academy of Art, instructor Julia Ricketts curates a show of student work from 2015-16.
A range of styles and media are presented, with an emphasis on abstract approaches to painting and drawing. “Students show curiosity and courage when they sign up for any art class, but abstract classes are especially challenging. The wide range of possibilities can be both exciting and disorienting. I strive to provide a structure and context for them to learn, experiment, and grow” says Ricketts.
