The Seattle Public Library says
Bard in a Bar presents Shakespeare’s Henry IV Pt. 1, aka “This intolerable deal of sack!” or “Dude, Where’s My Crown?” Experience Shakespeare in a whole new way at Bard in a Bar: a tipsy Shakespeare event! Bard in a Bar is a unique evening of crowdsourced Shakespeare presented in the classic style: with a beer in one hand and plenty of audience participation. Over four consecutive Mondays we’ll explore a range of plays – this week, history! No experience necessary – barflies and Bardolators alike can share the stage and bring Shakespeare’s words to life! Scripts and props will be provided. Come early to grab a bite to eat and get in the spirit!

*NOTE: This event is 21 and over. Registration is not required. This event is free (but drinks are not) and all are welcome.

Other BARD IN A BAR Events:

3/21/16: MEASURE FOR MEASURE: "If bawdy talk offend thee..."\

4/4/16: MUCH ADO ABOUT NOTHING: "The world must be Peopled!"

4/11/16: HAMLET: “To Beer or Not To Beer…”

This event is just one in a series of events The Seattle Public Library is hosting or co-sponsoring in celebration of First Folio! The Book That Gave Us Shakespeare, a nationally touring exhibit which will be hosted at the Central Library from March 21 to April 17, 2016. Considered one of the most important books in the world, a rare copy of Shakespeare's First Folio will be on display at the Central Library for four weeks, along with immersive and interactive displays, live performances, scholar lectures and more.
