With a Native American perspective and incorporating traditional teachings, participants will be guided through a brief history of colonization, the effects of historical trauma, and how Natives are leading the Idle No More social and environmental justice movement.


Facilitator Bio
Sweetwater Nannauck is an Idle No More activist that advocates for the protection of the fragile environment of the Northwest Coast, for tribal sovereignty rights, and the traditional way of life of Native people. She is a long-time community organizer, activist for police accountability, and for Native artist’s rights.
