Continuing The Community Dialogue On Race: Our Responsibility In Securing Justice

Queen Anne United Methodist Church/The Well says
"There is no wholeness outside of our reciprocal humanity.” ~Bryan Stevenson

This dialogue follows up on last summers community-wide one that happened at First AME in the wake of the shooting in Charleston. It is also a follow up from the talk given by Bryan Stevenson in February of this year at First UMC. And, it is a call to action for our region to wake up to race-based injustice, the intersectionality of injustices, and the imperative for us to move for systemic and lasting change.

This reignites our commitment to quarterly gatherings in public spaces and kicks off a move to host ongoing dialogues and work at the neighborhood level.

The table topics will cover:
K-12 Education
Cradle to Prison Pipeline
Environment
Faith Communities
Police
Mental Health
Higher Education
Economic Equity

Sponsors: First AME, Faith Action Network, Seattle/King Co. NAACP, the Church Council of Greater Seattle, Call of Compassion NW, No New Jim Crow, First UMC, and The Well.
