Don't Criminalize Homeless People: Say No To The Park Smoking Ban! says
Join us for a press conference and rally on Wednesday, May 27, 2015, 10:00-11:00 a.m. at Westlake Park to Say NO to the Park Smoking Ban!

Hear speakers from Real Change, ACLU, Seattle King County NAACP, Low Income Housing Institute and Chief Seattle Club explain why they oppose the proposed park smoking ban.

There is a homelessness crisis in Seattle, and many people who lack access to basic shelter and housing reside in public parks because they have nowhere else to go. We need real solutions, not more ways to police and criminalize the poor.

Current law that prohibits smoking within 25' of other park patrons and children's play areas meets legitimate public health concerns without resorting to criminalizing legal behavior. Say NO to the Park Smoking Ban!
