Town Hall Seattle says
Prolific composer Philip Glass’ inspirational operas, symphonies, and soundtracks have garnered him worldwide recognition throughout the past 25 years. Now, he’s offering an inside look at his vast musical career–focusing on his childhood and premiere of early works like “Einstein on the Beach”–in his aptly-titled memoir Words Without Music. Called “hilarious, touching, and profound” (Laurie Anderson) Glass’ views on human nature, culture, and enthusiasm for art shine through in this intimate portrait. He’ll appear in conversation with Rajan Krishnaswami (Seattle Symphony, Simple Measures) for this discussion of his life, music, and inspirations.
