Hanford Public Meeting On Changes To The Tri Party Agreement says
If you are concerned about cleanup at Hanford now is the time to get your questions answered and make your voice heard.

The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE), Washington State Department of Ecology (Ecology), and Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) – the Tri-Party Agreement (TPA) agencies – are proposing changes to the TPA. These proposed changes affect the schedule for completing cleanup work on the Hanford Central Plateau and in the 300 Area.

The proposed changes set new dates for investigating and completing work on the Central Plateau waste sites, issuing cleanup decisions, implementing cleanup decisions for waste sites and canyon facilities, completing cleanup of specified units, and completing cleanup of the 300 Area.

The agencies are having meetings for the public to ask questions and give public comments. Please consider attending of the meeting to learn more, to ask questions, and to voice your concerns.
