The Seattle Public Library says
Join the Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs and Northwest Immigrant Rights Project for a free training for allies and service providers who are interested in learning how to support immigrants in our community.

Northwest Immigrant Rights Project will discuss immigration issues, focusing on recent developments, like the recently signed executive orders, including the Muslim travel ban. The presentation will also include a summary of due process rights for immigrants and how allies can best advocate for immigrants. The target audience for this workshop includes service providers and anyone who works with immigrants and refugees. By the end of the training, participants will be better able to communicate accurate information about various immigration issues to their immigrant and refugee friends and neighbors.

We will provide ASL interpretation for this program.

This program will be recorded for future podcast.

This program is made possible with support from The Seattle Public Library Foundation and in partnership with the Seattle Office of Immigrant and Refugee Affairs.
