Time Out says
Forty years ago Busking--street performing for money--became legal in Seattle thanks mostly to the efforts of Seattle's Bard-Poet Jim Page. In 2014, Jim was honored by the City of Seattle with an official proclamation. Jim returns to one of his favorite venues for an intimate evening of original songs, jokes, and social commentary. Free. Donations strongly encouraged. Come early. He always packs our house. Great home-baked food and drinks--available.Hear the story of Jim's efforts: http://kuow.org/post/seattle-celebrates-40-years-busking-without-getting-busted#.VB0eNMz88x4.facebook
