Hard Rock Cafe Seattle says
The Lowdown Drifters are a Country and Americana band from Stanwood, WA just north of Seattle formed in 2015 based off of a love of honest and expressive songwriting with the goal of fostering and furthering the tradition of country music embodied by Waylon Jennings and Johnny Cash. After spending time in other bands in the past, the members found the opportunity to join forces with the mission of infusing their varied musical influences with lyrics that spoke to their lives and dreams. A focus on musicianship and the relatable themes of love, loss, heartbreak and hard living are the staples of the Lowdown Drifters music vocalized in singer Big John Cannons recognizable gritty roar. The 2016 release Wood & Water provides the staples of their live show with songs like Upriver and End Up in a Song written by Cannon and guitarist Ryan Klein which are fast becoming requested fan favorites wherever they play.
