Research growing out of the initial Adverse Childhood Experiences Study offers invaluable data to inform child welfare strategies. Now, child psychologist and psychiatric epidemiologist Kate McLaughlin’s cutting-edge work reveals that different qualities of ACEs (e.g., threat/violence vs. deprivation/neglect) result in different impacts on neural development. Dr. McLaughlin will present her research and anchor a panel discussion on this new model and its implications for understanding and improving interventions. Featured panelists will represent three local agencies working with abused and neglected children.
