Couth Buzzard Books Espresso Buono Cafe says
Paper-son Poet is a memoir of a Chinese family immigration history to the Pacific Northwest, a history of Koon Woon, the poet, and his childhood in China, his immigration to the US and settling in Aberdeen, WA, and his life in Seattle’s International District (Chinatown).

This memoir is unlike any other. It is based on the bilingual Koon Woon’s unique experiences as cook, waiter, student of philosophy and mathematics, mental illness, postal worker, writer, and award-winning poet, small press operator, and literary editor.

This is a multi-genre memoir, which highlights Koon’s experiences uniquely as he battled mental illness and homelessness to come back to consensual reality and becomes a role model for many others.

Come join Koon and celebrate diversity and literary excellence in our beautiful city of Seattle. This is supported by a CityArtist award from the Seattle Office of Arts & Culture. After the reading an open mic follows..
