Pecha Kucha Seattle, the Nordic Heritage Museum, 4Culture and ACLU Washtington are thrilled to present PKN SEA vol. 67: Immigration - Courage, Community & Culture in a Changing World

New Americans – immigrants and the children of immigrants – are a central part of the American story and a vital part of Washington State’s history, present and future. 1 in 7 Washingtonians are immigrants, representing $44.7 billion in consumer purchasing power, employing over 94,000 people, forming a vital part of our state’s entrepreneurial and cultural community. Yet despite these contributions, the central importance of immigrants to our national and regional story is fraught with bias and discrimination based on fear and resistance to change. Pecha Kucha Seattle, the Nordic Heritage Museum, 4Culture and the ACLU Washington are honored to present PKN SEA vol. 67: Immigration - Courage, Community & Culture in a Changing World in celebration of the central contributions of Washington State’s diverse immigrant community, highlighting the unique journeys, challenges and cultural impact of New Americans across our region.
