Prism - Pärt & MacMillan
May 8 & 9, 2015, St. James Cathedral

We celebrate Arvo Pärt’s 80th birthday with a performance of his ethereal, minimalist music along with pieces by James MacMillan whose work has been called “both timeless and contemporary.” Their hauntingly beautiful music has made Pärt and MacMillan two of the world’s most-performed living composers.

We're honored to give John Muehleisen’s Eternity Passing Over its world premiere at Prism. This heartrending piece memorializes those who have lost their lives in the Arctic, weaving together sacred poetry, the text of the Requiem Mass, writings about the Arctic’s beauty, and traditional music of the Gwich’in and Inupiat peoples of Alaska.

Reserve concert passes through Brown Paper Tickets online (link above) or by phone at 1-800-838-3006.
