Seattle City Council Debate: District 3 Kshama Sawant And Pamela Banks says
This year’s talked-about Seattle City Council elections–the first under a new districted system–shook up the primaries for some interesting results. At Town Hall we love a good political debate, so in the spirit of democracy and discussion, we’re teaming up with Seattle Channel to present a series of live debates (with moderated Q&A) for each of the seven districts. Learn more about the candidates running in your district–and don’t forget to vote on November 3.

District 3 debate: Kshama Sawant, current Seattle City Council Member, and Pamela Banks, President of the Urban League of Metropolitan Seattle.

Moderators: Lead moderator Heidi Groover of The Stranger; community moderator Jazmin Williams, Founder of Rouge Lioness; community moderator Danielle Askini, Executive Director of Gender Justice League and Q&A moderator Edward Wolcher, Town Hall Community Programs Curator.

Have a question for the candidates? Tweet a question using #seacouncil or send your questions for the candidates to debates@townhallseattle.org help us shape the conversation. We may ask your question at the event. Please specify which district race you’re writing about.
